Here’s former New York Times editor Bill Keller trying to be fair and balanced by pointing out that both our current president and the likely Republican nominee have a secret streak:
[Romney] points to stories about Obama’s handling of the Bin Laden raid, his oversight of a terrorist kill list and the administration’s cyberattacks on Iran as “contemptible” breaches of national security.
Romney certainly knows something about keeping secrets; there have been no leaks so far of his tax returns, the names of his big-money bundlers, the records of his work as governor and Olympics czar or, for that matter, his economic plan.
For real style? So far the “most transparent administration in history” has made history by prosecuting more whistleblowers than all previous administrations combined.
Not only that, but as the Guardian reports:
The UN special rapporteur on torture has formally accused the US government of cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment towards Bradley Manning, the US soldier who was held in solitary confinement for almost a year on suspicion of being the WikiLeaks source.
Obama has a secret kill list. Obama has murdered American citizens without even going on record and admitting it, forget a trial. Obama just redecorated Guantanamo Bay.
And Romney… hasn’t disclosed his tax returns. Good job, Bill Keller. Keep up the good work.
